Video: Kids under Fire in Damascus

Children were being interviewed about injuries they witnessed when a bomb fell nearby.

The embedded video illustrates the impossible reality of the life children live in Syria, which has been embroiled in a bloody civil war for three years – a war that has taken more than 120,000 lives.
The video was shot in the Jubar neighborhood of Damascus, which suffers from shelling by the Syrian military. The children, aged up to 12 or 13, are standing in the street and telling the cameraman about their harsh experiences during the civil war, and about injuries to other children that they have witnessed.
As they are speaking, a loud explosion takes place close to where the group is standing, and thick smoke envelops the street. The children and the cameraman run away from the location and the filming resumes again in a safer place, in one of the homes nearby.
The children, who were not hurt, continue to talk about their experiences and say that at first they felt fear when bombs fell, but since then, they have grown used to the situation.

This is unbelievable how these poor kids are living. I lived through the Gulf War in a small town in the north of Israel with shelling and Katusha rockets falling all around me every day, but this is madness! No kids anywhere should live through such terror. This madness needs to stop and it needs to stop now! Please share this video.
